Price range filter for the products is not working correctly if you are special customer and you have assigned special prices (for example discount prices) for the products.
Price range filter still show the regular prices not the prices for this specific user that is currently logged in.

Do you mean default (built-in) price range control? Price range filter displays values (ranges) you've specified on the category details page (admin area).

Yes, we are talking about this control. But in the case of special pricing (price tier) for special customers (volume resellers, etc), filter is not working correctly - still applying filter to regular prices.
For example you have 2 products: product A with regular price $35, and product B with regular price $70.
Then you have the customer who is assigned to better price tier with prices for product A - $30 and B - $60.
Price range for the selected products for this customer suppose to be between $30 and $60.
Instead program shows price ranges between $35 and $70.  Of course the information is not correct for this user.

You're right. Right now price ranges are fixed. This control displays values (price ranges) that you've specified on the category details page (admin area).

And I've just also created a work item related to this issue
