Using Server 2003 , SQL Server 2005, IIS 6

I have installed nopCommerce 1.6, placed the install files
in a folder. But when configuring the website in IIS Manager if I create a
virtual directory "ie: mystore" and associate it with the nopCommerce folder then my store
URL ultimately becomes mysite.com/mystore and not just mysite.com as I want it.

I can of course set the home folder local path for the parent website container directly to the nopcommerce folder
and this allows me to access my store by just typing mysite.com but then there's no point of using a virtual directory.
Wish I could set the local path to a virtual directory, but that's no allowed it appears.

In any event if I type the name of any nopcommerce folder after my URL ie: mysite.com/bin
then I will get the message that access to this folder has been denied, where as when I do the same
with the stores from the "live showcase store page" I get page not found error. So I presume they are using some
sort of invisible virtual directory/redirection system or did they simply alter folder names or structure from the default?

Thanks...
