Standad alone Admin portal

Dears, i need to have the admin portal as a stand alone without the public one. i need something as http://admin-demo.nopcommerce.com/admin/.

I am trying now to do this but i found that i have to keep the Nop.Web exist because its web.config and global.asax are needed and has the necessary configuration and code. Is there any advise?

Is there any specific reason to have only Admin panel with out public store, one option is to redirect public store urls /admin of your domain.

I need it to be hosted in another server. Any idea other than redirect?

I would also like that for the following reason - If the admin website is in a separate web application, it can be locked down to certain addresses that can access it.  Just a way to tighten security.
