Multiple Payments from single customer but No Orders within Nopcommerce Order Table

Good morning!

We're experiencing the following issue so any guidance would be much appreciated.

- When some customers are checking out via One Page Checkout with Credit Card payment (processed via Payments.PayPalDirect payment method within NopCommerce), the order is never coming into Nopcommerce and customers are repeatedly clicking Submit which is causing multiple payment transactions - but no order entry within NopCommerce.
- Does not seem to be related to any particular time or product
- Affected customers were able to create an account just fine, but there is no activity shown in our system
- Started happening on 1/22/17 with no known modifications to our site, databases, or processes.
- Logs are NOT showing any errors at the time of the payment

It's important to note that this does not affect all customers or particular products - it truly seems to occur at "random" as some customers are able to checkout just fine with Credit Card.

Does anyone have ideas on what might be causing this? We're trying to avoid an abundance of refunds as that increases potential risk during PayPal account review.

Disregard post above. This issue is related to the COnfirm button on OPC not workin correctly. Regardless of the payment method selected, once "Confirm" is clicked, a brief message is shown right next to Confirm button "Submitting Order information" - but then nothing happens. If you click Confirm repeatedly, it flashes that brief message and nothing happens. This would explain the multiple payments selected if CC is being used. Any ideas?
