Category with several levels

Hi,

I have categories which are several levels deep.
I've imported them all in the Category table with the required parentid set.
I have also populated the product_category mapping table with the productid and categoryid.

On my main page the top leverl of categories are correctly displayed on the left of the screen.
But when i do a search this category list is not being refreshed to reflect the categories for which items have been searched.
Furthermore when i click on the category on the left it doesn't refresh the product list accordingly.

Have i missed any links between category and product?

Hi,

how did you import your categories? Using your custom SQL or in-built import?
Check category details in admin area. Do you see correct product mapping on the Products tab?
