Change Category Page Product List Display?

Hello.
Is there a setting (3.8) to make the category pages only show products in the current category, not the current and child categories?

Sure. Please go to admin area > configuration > settings > catalog settings > disable "Include products from subcategories"

Ensure that you're in "Advanced" mode (toggle at the top of the page)
