Force users to enter Discount code

For some reason our store automatically applies the discount code on all orders at checkout, how do we disable this and force the users to enter the discount code?

If you have a discount code set, it's unlikely the discount will apply itself.

Ya, that's crazy man. Have you tried from a different browser to be certain that isn't not just caching the previously entered coupon from the previous visit? Or maybe it's not the "coupon code" being applied, but another type of discount you have configured?

Turning the Reward points options off then on again fixed the issue. I have no idea what was causing it.
