Mini shopping cart checkout button not rendering well in IE8

On site load checkout button in mini shopping cart is OK. After scrolling down the page, so that the button become invisible, and then scrolling up, so the button become visible again, it is not rendered well.
I am using unmodified darkOrange theme and Internet Explorer 8. In Chrome there is no such problem.

After hovering the button with the mouse, it become OK again.

PS After reproducing this behaviour in real shopping cart (shoppingcart.aspx) - I mean scrolling page so that checkout button moves out and then in the visible area, the 3 buttons there lost their texts - Update cart, Continue, Checkout. Again, I observe this behavior only in Internet Explorer 8, and not in Chrome.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
