Altering the order confirmation

Hi all,

I wonder if someone can shed some light on wheter this would work or not.

We have intergrated the sage pay and ups shipping module, Both are working fine.

However we want to streamline the process by automatically sending the shipping request to  ups using their shipping xml module.

no at the moment the process happens like this;

1. user confirms order
2. user makes payment through sage pay
3. user returns to ordercomplete.aspx page

now, it is at point 3 we will want to send the order to ship over to ups. Now from looking at the code it simply gets the information on the last order and shows this??

So, what would happen for example with a URL hack? or a page request? this would then post the shipping request twice?

can anyone either explain a bit more on how it works or suggest a solution to the problem?

Sorry for multiple posting.

My other idea is to maybe have an integraiton in the back end, whereby instead of print shipping label, there is a request shipping button. The user would then simple click thisand it could submit the shipping request to UPS at this point?

doing this owuld give us more control then, and aso save the time of having to manually enter every order.
