Remove "No image available" image

How to remove "No image available" image from category pages and product pages? In my case almost all products don't have pictures so there is no sense to display any image.

I think you have the option to not show image for category in admin. For the products you can edit product template to not include pictures.

you can use the setting

Media.DefaultImageName

to specify a different image to display - maybe even upload a 1px x 1 px  transparent file so no image is visible



admin --> configuration-->all settings

(page 7 in v1.8 )
