Filtering Trouble

Setting up my first site here so be gentle  :)  

I set up a couple products here:
http://pickupsurplus.com/nop/category/2-revtek.aspx

The one product for FJ Cruiser/4Runner has specifications selected for
- 4Runner (2003-2009) (2WD or 4WD)  
- FJ Cruiser (2007-2010) (2WD or 4WD)  

The other product - for Tundra has specification for
- Tundra (2000-2006) 4WD

If you Filter by attributes, nothing happens.

In each product I have Allow filtering CHECKED

For the Specification itself I have:

TOYOTA
     -> Specification attribute options                                    Display Order
               -> 4Runner (2003-2009) (2WD or 4WD)                         1
               -> FJ Cruiser (2007-2010) (2WD or 4WD)                       2
               -> Tundra (2000-2006) 4WD                                         3

Is there something I might be doing wrong or do I misunderstand the purpose or function?

You only have two products in the category and both are featured products. Featured products are displayed at the top of the category page and are not included in the category's product listing, which is why you can't filter them. Try removing them as featured products and your filtering should work.
