Is it possible to upgrade from version 1.1 to 1.8, and keep the same database. Meaning can we upgrade the database version and not lose all customer info, order info, etc?
Same situation here! I'm on the young 1.1 and I'm excited to move to 1.8...but how to do it? I currently have 1100 customers and 700 products on my DB plus all the orders history.
I figured it out. You just have to upgrade version by version, which doesn't take all that long. So upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2, then 1.2 to 1.3, so on until you are up to 1.8. Just completed it, and everything works flawlessly. Hope that helps.
