I am using NopCommerce 1.80 and using the sample data from nop commerce. I see there are 2 discounts from Promotions - Discounts menu. I also add a new discount in this menu. But when I go and edit the "Desktop" category, the 3 discounts created does not show up in "Discounts applied to the category" tab. What was wrong? Is it a bug?
when you edit/set up a discount, you can choose the discount limitation - ie, where the discount applies - if you set the limitation to 'applied to category' then is should appear in the category discounts page - from there you can choose to appply it to any category
