HI,
I'm a new comer. I install nopCommerce on a temporary URL and will connect to the official domain name when the site is ready. How do I go about doing this when it's time? How easy is it to move the site to a different directories? Please advice.
Thank you.

I'm using Nopcommerce 1.6 version. I do:
1) Copy all files to new server.
2) Backup database and restore this database at new sql server. (or your can create new nopcommerce database)
3) Change ConnectionStrings.config file.

Thank you very much for your reply. I do appreciate it.
I normally worked with Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal. And nopCommerce is very nice!
So I guess it's similar that the site URL is in the config file and that is the only place where we should change when we go live?
I hope there are no URL stored in the DB? Some Wordpress plugins do this and it's a nightmare when moving website (for me at least)
Thanks!

Will this affect the actual URL of the site? I'm currently running nopComm on a temp URL?

For example I currently building the site on http://myonlinestore.com.lotus.arvixe.com when it's ready then I'm going to change the nameserver and run it on the real domain name http://myonlinestore.com
Is there anything specific I need to do? If so where do I change it?
Thank you.
