Database backup failing (1.8)

In nopCommerce 1.8 when attempting to create a database backup I'm getting the following error message:

"Cannot open backup device 'C:\full\path\to\website\Administration\backups\database_2010-12-10-11-57-50_1266.bak'. Operating system error 3(The system cannot find the path specified.). BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally."

I've given NETWORK SERVICE read and write access on the Administration\backups folder, but this does not seem to affect the error I'm receiving.
