Fax and Address 2 still shown in MyAccount\Customer Addresses eventhough not selected

I selected Fax and Address 2 not to be visible on registration using global configuration. This works fine. Also they are not displayed in Customer Info tab of My Account page. However they are still visible in Customer Addresses tabs of My Account page. Is this a bug?

No it's a feature.. Those settings are related to the customer page.

You need to edit the page but change the validation too. Please do a search for this.

I don't get how this is a feature. Why would one want to hide a field from registration and have it visible on customer account forms.
Do you mean I have to recompile the code?

Yes, please do a search. It must have been done before.

I would expect that fields are hidden completly using configuration.
In any case they can be hidden using display:none on some ascx files, without rebuilding. At least for fields that are not mandatory.
