Excluding Customer Role from Discount Requirement

I have a number of different customer roles and on occasion I have a price discount I want to specifically exclude a customer role.
Is there a way I can do this?
Is there a plugin available to add this function?

You can do this with default Must be assigned to customer role plugin.

To me it looks like the default is to include, not EXClude.
I was hoping to avoid having to assign all the included roles and just have it exclude the one.
