I need for instance to know what carrier and what shipping method the customer has selected. I don't know what carriers and shipping methods exists at all as I query them real time online with out knowing the result set, so I have to know what the customer has selected already before creating an order.
Name and shipping method will not be enough to query the carrier later
With carrier id and other info I can get the correct carrier and shipping method.
