Thank you very much for your insights and suggestions. For the time being, my local test installation appears to be running smoothly (at least as far as I was able to test it). Momentarily, the errors previously mentioned do not seem to have an impact on application execution. However, I do not feel comfortable about putting the application on live/production server in the current state, but I guess I do not have choice.
I'll stick with the current state and will try to make the most of it. Thanks a mil for your help.
