Why Blog and News?

Whats the purpose of having blog and news together?

You dont have to use them together. You can use one or the other. I use blog for general chatty stuff and I use News for more business type ... like "new products will be hitting the shelves this coming March, Pre order now blah blah".

Agreed, it's nice to have options for different clients or setups - you can turn both off or use what fits your website style.
