I am having a hell of a time trying to install nopCommerce on my server/computer. I have zen cart installed now but i am looking at a different e-commerce solution. I would be willing to pay for your services via paypal. Please PM me.

Thanks,

Hi, it's quite a staright forward process, did you watch any screencasts ? I think its better to do it yourself rather than pay somebody - have a look at this :

Haydie,

Thanks for the reply. I have tried the install process by watching the youtube video and i come up with this:

http://lakeerielayouts.com/nopCommerce/Install/install.aspx

Please see the link, it's nothing but html code. Do you have an idea what I did wrong?

Thanks for the help!

Where is your site hosted? Does that host support asp.net websites? You should see something more than what I see when I click on that link if your host allows asp.net....

I currently host with justhost.com . How do I find out whether or not they support that? Thank you for the help

They don't, not according the the info on their website... if you want a decent inexpensive asp.net host, get an account with www.Avrixe.com - more or less the same price as your current host. I host with them and they are pretty good. If you do get an account with them you need to set up a few things before you install nopCommerce and I'd be happy to help with that... I know how to do it well with Arvixe.

Thanks for the quick reply! I would love to switch hosts but my problem is I own a web design business and currently run 25 websites and 3 online stores. I would prefer to host all my sites with one company. I will look into that company you mentioned though. I would like to use nopCommerce over zen cart but I would like to play with it first but not just the store demo so I will have to think about buying a hosting account just for a demo store but I most likely will. Once again thank you!

if you just want to play with it, download it from here

https://www.nopcommerce.com/downloads.aspx

and run it on your local machine  using visual web developer ( available free from microsoft ) without having to pay for hosting

I think you will really enjoy the experience of nopCommerce over your current cart choice

If you are having a difficult time installing nopCommerce, you also might want to look at Cytanium as a host.  You can go into your control panel, click on Microsoft Web App Gallery, and select nopCommerce from the list.  It will ask you a few questions and install it for you automatically.  I literally had it running on my site in just a couple of minutes with no downloading or configuration on my part.
