Intercept Old links

I moved off an old store platform and have many links out there that I would like to help people find. I have been playing around with this for days. Is there a way to use rewrite or ??? to direct the customer to the correct place? For example my old url is http://www.mystore.com?section=110 and I would like to automatically switch to the correct product. Any ideas?

Your best bet is to create a custom 404 handler that looks up a mapping table and either redirects to the correct category, or provides a page with suggested links.
