Error during setup when using existing database

Hi everyone,

I had a previous installation of nopcommerce that I removed but I've kept the database as it has some data & stored procedures of my own that I need to keep.

During re-installation, at the point where it asks to either create a new database or use an existing one, I've selected use existing and entered the database name. I've also unchecked 'Create sample data'.

After clicking on next, I get this error:

An error occured: There is already an object named 'Nop_CustomerRole' in the database.
Running scripts from file: E:\Websites\Spank - nopcommerce\NopCommerceStore\install\Scripts\nopCommerce_createDatabase.sql

So it looks like it's trying to recreate the database even though I've asked to use an existing one.

Have I missed something?

Thanks,
Chris

Simple way if you have the database dont need to run install.
Just connect databse to server and edit ConnectionStrings.xml file and add in the connection string from your old version
