NC v.190 install stalls

I'm trying to install NC v1.90 on Softsys hosting.    Before I started the install I created a blank SQL 2008 DB and user and set the permissions for the nopcommerce folder.  I then started the install but the install stops at page 2 where I’m to specify the DB server name or IP address.  SOFTSERV11 is autofilled.  Next I’m supposed to specify the type of security; SQL Server Account or integrated Windows authentification.  No matter which authentication method I chose the install web page progress bar would grind for a while and quit.  Then I deleted the db and user and tried it again.  Exact same result.  No error code or crash.  The page load progress bar advance for a little bit them just quits.  Any ideas?

Is I am using SQLEXPRESS have to put WORKSTATION_SERVERNAME\SQLEXPRESS on my dev platform
Same on my production server whcih is PSERVER\BTSERVER
Where PSERVER is my windows server name and BTSERVER is the SQL SERVER
