Is this a bug or setting issue?

Hello,

I have done some data entry and noticed in result page after search or even while browsing in products. The grid shows some of the items with two buttons as 'Detail' and 'Add to cart' while some products are having 'Detail' button only so in order to add them to cart I must get to detail page.

Any idea?

Ok! I noticed it is because those items have variants so customer must get to detail page to choose a specific model. Please ignore my question.
