setting Encryption Private Key

Hi,

When we should set the Encryption Private Key. Can we add any numbers or just upto 16 numbers

what is the significance of this key.

Is it necessary to change the key, if not what will happen

Encryption private key is used to store sensitive information in encrypted format. For example, credit card data (only in case you're using 'Manual' payment method)
