UPS Plugin Configuration

Has anyone recently configured the UPS Shipping plugin? According to this documentation if I have the username, password, and access license number I should be able to configure the plugin. However, UPS suggests that they are not providing the access license key anymore. See here

Does anyone have a step-by-step guide on how I can configure the plugin from the admin panel?

We are in the process of updating the plugin to take advantage of UPS's new security approach. It will be implemented for version 4.70. The old plugin can unfortunately only be used by users who have the old credentials.

So. how long would be the wait time? We were planning to go live with a client in December 2023. This is a major setback for us.  Any suggestion from your side?
As per my understanding, a new UPS plugin compatible with the last few nopCommerce versions should solve the issue for people like me.

The source code is in the GitHub repo.  A developer could compile it for your version of nopCommerce.
