I am integrating a CDN service (the service is from the hoster; my VPS is in NY/USA). I am using NopCommerce 4.60 and all my images are in the database.
My understanding is that I need to change for each and every image (is there a better way?) the URL FROM => http://www.yourdomain.com/content/images/thumbs/0000020_25-virtual-gift-card_125.jpeg TO => http://cdn.yourdomain.com/content/images/thumbs/0000020_25-virtual-gift-card_125.jpeg
BUT
I can not find anywhere in the NopCommerce admin to do this.
You can choose to use any CDN plugin from this list of available plugins. In case if you want to use a general CDN, you can use the free one from NopAdvance.
I should have mentioned that I got a CDN plugin (struggling a bit to install but I am sure I will). The hosting provider told me that "Please note that our CDN can only be integrated for static content and cannot be integrated with a database".
I interpret this to mean "change from <images in the database> to <images in the file sytem>" (do you think this is the correct interpretation?)
The other issue remains; even with the plugin I need to change the URL (which I can not find as the images are in the database!)
Yes it's true that CDN works with the static content only but in case of nopCommerce, images are prepared as a URL even in case when media storage is set to database.
For the URL issue, I am providing a link to our CDN plugin configuration guide in which we have mentioned example of configuring it with ImageKit.io but it's pretty same in all CDN provider cases.
