Andrei,

Perhaps you've address this, but I don't recall seeing it.  Will themes, or more specifically style.css be significantly different in version 2.0?  In other words, how much will the new version affect "look and feel" customizations?

Will this shift in technology require re-write of all our custom code? as far as i know coding styles of MVC 3 are diffrent from what we use in standard ASP.Net also the component set is different, so will we be able to upgrade to 2.0 or we need to work on a diffrent install all together.

The upgrade utility will be provided to users of nopCommerce 1.90. The source code will be almost fully rewritten. But the logic & workflows will be mostly the same.

I think it's a good move to MVC3 (and razor is just great!) Will you be using the razor cshtml files or standard .aspx?

.cshtml

I have been peppering this forum with "go to codeplex" comments and I won't stop now.

There is some really cool stuff going on with the new 2.0 version.  Whether you are a front end or back end developer or just a hobbyist, spend a little time going over the code base.  It's not as scary as it first looks.

NOTE: A good deal of the nop functionality you are used to in previous versions is working in 2.0.  Download the project and give it a whirl.
