add to cart always redirects to shopping cart in 2.0

There was an opportunity to choose whether admin want customers to be redirected to shopping cart after adding to cart or show them message box "product was added to cart" and let customer continue buying.
There is no such choice in 2.0 Adding to cart always redirects customer to shopping cart.

and if i click on continue shopping it goes to a another different page and goes from https to http

It is very straight forward that only few pages (of website) are SSL secured and that includes shopping cart page. It is very obvious that when you will leave the page, the https will change into http.

The situation you mentioned above was same in 1.9version also. You can test the same thing 1.9version, just go to Admin section > Configuration > Global Settings > tab 2 "products" > Display cart after adding product: CHECK

Save changes and test it. When you will click on "Continue shopping" https will change into http.

P.S. The only thing you can do it making Homepage to use SSL. So when user will click on "Continue Shopping" button , he/she will be redirected to "Homepage" which will be making use of SSL. In this way homepage will show "https".
