Adding an entirely new table to the DB

I apologize if this info is found elsewhere, but I've Googled and searched the forums and found nothing for 2.4.

What steps must I take, upon creating the table (called Enrollment) in the nopCommerce Db, to have this added as an object in the system? The framework is new to me, as I'm used to seeing simple DALs. Is there a tutorial out there I can follow?
