Buy One Get One 50% off

Is there any way I can specify discount like "Buy One get one 50% off". The secong item can be anything from the same category or from the same manufacturer.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Even with NOP 1.5 this does not seem possible.

I saw version 1.8 has some new discount requirements. Is this feature now supported on v1.8 or not yet? I also need a similar feature: Get X dollars off if total goes over Y amount.

view the variant

click ' tier prices' tab
