L.K.

this is the ecommerce: http://shop.hippieshopformentera.com/
I wish I knew what's going on there.

Startup time is sometimes 2 or even 3 minutes.

Things are slightly better using a few web services to keep the application pool alive.

Sometimes it seems the server just does not answer.

Best,

Alberto

Arvixe is rubbish.
I am hosting a NopCommerce on their server.
It was terribly slow on a PersonalClass plan.
I've upgraded to a BusinessClass and it seems even slower.

I am still waiting they transfer my emails on the new server; apparently they've forgotten bits and pieces.
After 3 days and few chats and emails I am still waiting.

They were much better few years back.
Now they are totally unprofessional.

NopCommerce on Arvixe will run slow.

Hi vandalo,

Have you contact their support team? I believe that Arvixe is professional hosting provider and many users recommend them. Or you may consider asphostportal.com as other alternative to host your nopcommerce site.

Hello Alberto,

I have tested your website and it seems to be loading fast.

Try Host4ASP.NET https://host4asp.net/. I have been hosting my nopCommerce site with this company for several months and now I am still very happy with this company and its service. Its service is reliable, fast and cheap, coming with enough outstanding features that help me run my store without any limitation.

The best thing is that their support team is standing by 24x7 to offer help via lie chat. Those people are very professional, patiently and responsive. Both its hosting service and customer service are highly spoken by a lot of people. They also offer 1-click nopCommerce installer, helping me save a lot of time. Good job, Host4ASP.NET.

Hi

I run my own VPS as I find Nop Commerce resource hungry, and having full control over the server is the only way I have found to get the performance I want.

I have tried a number of shared hosting providers and none of them delivered the performance consistently that I now get with my VPS.

Of course the downside to VPS is cost, and I have managed to keep the cost down a little by just renting the VPS with the OS on, and I have configured the rest myself.

I am using WinHost Max with my new installation of nopCommerce -- it loads in 3 seconds and the customer support is fast and excellent. I'm very satisfied with this host (-- at least for now). For a year I paid $119.40 which I think is very reasonable for what I'm getting. However I wouldn't put more than one installation on it as it may slow down since it is shared hosting.

I agree with BigBrother. Arvixe is rubbish and you should consider removing the link from the footer of the nopcommerce site. It is now misleading people.
In last 2 months I have deployed 4 nopCommerce application on my reseller hosting where I have huge disk space and memory (not any cheap package).

But unfortunately all the sites are unstable. It takes hours to explain the problem to the arvixe team and they would fix the home page leaving other pages crashing. You have to give them each and every page url to apply a fix. I wonder why! The have some 32/64 bit issue. Which they cannot apply a permanent fix!

For example my latest site here: http://graywayhealth.com.white.mysitehosted.com/ too slow and appPool stopping suddenly every few minutes!

Where as I have hosted the same site here: http://simplexh.arvixevps.com:81/

Same database on the reseller hosting. Only different application server.
I think its time to move away from Arvixe!
