+1 Nice suggestion.

We worked with Dojo earlier.. it offers great UI, mobile friendly and can be used to create a rich user interfaces and it offers most features as well. And its an open source as well.

I can vouch for datatables.net - its a Jquery based grid that works perfectly with MVC and JSON.
Just in case it slips your notice Andrea..

What about this?  http://ui-grid.info/
It is still in beta version though, but sounds promising

After reading all of these comments I still didn't quite understand if I'm as Web development company actually allowed to sell web sites based on nopCommerce software to my clients?
If I don't want to use KendoUI in the website, but just for the backoffice as it is now... do I still allowed to take money for distributing it as an open source?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,

As far as information posted on this forum by nopCommerce development team, it is using the older version of Kendo UI which is a free and includes the components used in nopCommerce. However, the newer version of Kendo UI which is also available for free, but they removed few components from this free edition in newer version. So the problem with us here is, we can still use KendoUI without updating to latest version, if we upgrade it some components will not be available and we will be in trouble!

And we can still distribute the nopCommerce to our clients with the same older version of KendoUI which is available for free. Remember that you can not upgrade KendoUI to latest version.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I am definitely not an expert in this area!
