The only thing I'm concerned about is the language issue:
"No. Almost all resource names are changed" (A.M.)
That means all the translation has to be done again and it
will last some time to get as much language packs as there are
for version 1.90 ... why haven't you used the same names ??

You're absolutely right. It was simplified. The number of locale resources was reduced from 5600 to 3100. There also were a lot of dublicates.

Possible bug?
The Google Checkout button (when enabled) appears at the bottom of the shopping cart but when clicked it redirects the user straight to Google Checkout and does not check to ensure that all required Checkout Attributes have been ticked and/or completed.
The standard checkout button (e.g. if using COD payments) does this check.
Looking forward to the 2.0 RTM version, looking good :)
