Dont you see the problem of;
If you have many store owners signing up, then your left column will be too long if each store is listed there.

Obviously is it handy in certain scenarios, but not in others. i.e. if you want to have many signing up to be a store owner it would be OVER.
No not really!

That ought not be an issue for anyone that does this for a living.

The left column could be set up to display a set number of the latest registered stores - 10 for example, with a link I may add to other page(s).

As the site owner you can limit it to number of stores you wish to display.

I am almost certain that current Multi Store/Vendor does that very thing already.

But I could be wrong.

Hi Guys

I use the Multistore that Hezyz has created, and we have a drop down for the stores which works quite well, we have
also set up a separate signup form so that it's only for new store owners, so we know if it's store owner or a new
membership registration, you can do quite a bit of customization to make it work the way you want it.

Here is the site : http://www.vintage-handmade.co.uk

If you have any questions please ask away.

That's sounds great! Sounds like what we were after.

Visited the site "http://www.vintage-handmade.co.uk" but cannot locate the sign-up form you mentioned.

Hi blkcloud

It is black out there at the moment, bloody weather, anyway I digress, the form you was looking for is here:
http://www.vintage-handmade.co.uk/shopsignup

It is accessible from the marketplace, there is a red button that says become a vendor and that takes them to the
form to fill in we then get a email to say, we have a new vendor rather than a new membership signup.

Hope this helps.

Hi WDD, would you believe it -the sun just kissed my windows, but only so briefly! :-)

I have a couple quick questions.

Is this a live store - can I try it out?

Does the vendor have an immediate access to their own area, once registered to start uploading their products or does it require further intervention by the site owner?

At what stage of the registration process do the site owner agree a fee with the vendor to start using the site?

I'm excited and thanks for coming back to me so soon.

Yes it is a live site, been going about five months, because this a relatively new site we are not charging anything yet, so that will kick in April, once the client signs up I set up the store framework and then they can start adding products to there store.

I have just sent you a PM if you want to contact me.
