I may have missed them but I have not seen any notes or comments regarding the charging and collecting of any potential sales tax liabilities resulting from the multi-vendor and drop shipping features included in 3.0.  I am inquiring specifically with regard to US business practices as I am not familiar with tax laws in other countries.

First, how closely will the multi-vendor functionality compare with Amazon's affiliates program that resulted in several states enacting an "Amazon Tax"?  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_tax

Secondly, could the multi-vendor functionality establish a nexus that results in an obligation to collect sales tax? http://www.salestaxinstitute.com/Sales_Tax_FAQs/What_is_nexus

Lastly, drop shipments can create a tax collecting quagmire due to differing tax laws among the states. http://www.ryan.com/Assets/Downloads/Articles/Sales_and_Use_Tax_Obligations.pdf

Have any enhancements been made to charge different sales tax rates by vendor (if required) and report the amounts collected by tax authority?

Not specifically, as far as I know. Nevertheless each product is related to a specific vendor and you can define the tax category of a product at its product variants Check "Tax category" in product variant example

.
I think it would be  good idea to allow a store owner to specify a maximum number of images per vendor product

Currently product is mapped to single Vendor and multiple stores, that means product price remain same for different store if vendor is same,

but in general scenario vendor gives different prices of product to different stores (based on number of products they sell, store name in market etc..), which changes store sing price.

My question is, how to achieve different prices for different store for single product from same vendor?

It requires mapping product variants per store

It requires mapping product variants per store.

Is current mapping made on consideration of vendor supply product to all store on same price ? no one is facing this issue yet ?

Other option i feel is, add separate product per store ( Repetition of same product )

Sometimes one web store has many products which are supplied by many suppliers, sometimes one product could be supplied from different suppliers with difference prices. I think nop should have support for such workflow.

Some official support for front-end vendor navigation added. Please see changeset https://nopcommerce.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/0664c1812ea1.

It would be nice to have some concept of a shipping-from address for Vendor; at least Country & ZipPostalCode.
Currently, with multiple Customers per Vendor, and multiple Addresses per Customer, there is no real way to identify which is the shipping-from address.

Thanks for suggestion. By the way, in the upcoming 3.20 we have warehouse support. There's a setting indicating whether shipping rates should be calculated from specified warehouses
