i think nop will never work on linux server )) how we can use nopcommerce on linux server if not support mysql or postqresql database? and if we must use mssql server ( payment license) then why need linux or .core

You could run nop on Linux, and connect to a SQL Server box on Windows, Azure SQL etc. Heck you could put your database on CosmosDB (Azure's distributed no-sql DB) and use the pre-built SQL API interface.

Then once MySQL support comes out you can point your app to a MySQL DB running on Linux somewhere, some MySQL PaaS offering (Azure, AWS etc), Postres or whatever.

The ONLY reason you would have an issue is if you want to run nop and the database on the same server AND you don't want to run SQL Server for Linux. So you have options. It's a step in the right direction.

Also - why use Linux or .net core?

Linux - cheaper licensing, better/easier maintenance and ops, faster performance, CONTAINERS!!

.net Core? - not sure if you saw but Microsoft officially announced there will be no new versions of .net framework and no more features ported from framework to core after .net core 3.0. They said and I quote ".NET Core is the future at Microsoft" so unless you want the same tech stack for the next 20 years with no innovation you want .net core.  Plus - it has better performance marks than .net framework.

Is there any update on when we can expect the 4.20 release?
