We're receiving a lot of requests for product attribute handling and specifications, so it's in the works for the next version of NopAdmin 1.90. The unlimited attribute handling within nopCommerce is a complicated logic set (kudos to Andrei and the other nopC developers) and we have not tackled it yet. However, as I mentioned we're getting more requests for it - we're hoping to get it done for NopAdmin 2.00.
You can use NopAdmin to populate the rest of your product information such as images, categories, category assignments, variants and more however, then use the nopCommerce administration to populate the attributes and specifications although with the numbers you mentioned am aware of the time involved.
Hope this helps, and thanks for asking.
Kind Regards, Shawn NopAdmin.com
Can nopadmin be used to: - Massive update of prices and/or inventories? - Update information in products or add/remove products?
Can nopadmin be used to: 1. - Massive update of prices and/or inventories? 2. - Update information in products or add/remove products?

Answer to questions.... 1. Massive update of prices and/or inventories? Yes you can massive update prices and inventories - also update loads of information at the same time - all by the spreadsheet... Import XLS * If your products are a feed - and you add the products to an Excel database in the same format as the sample database - NopAdmin will search the SKU number as your primary key and replace the price and stock levels of that product along with all the other updated info..
2. Yes to this... a - In products tab you can select Product Maintance Search by - for example - Category / Manufacturer... for example Other options there.... select the category / Manufacturer - then Button "Get Products"
List of products in the Grid View left - select required product - and you update / remove the product...
b. Add more products - i would do this with Excel spreadsheet in NopAdmin... can be 1 or loads products at a time, i batch the files up in small amounts incase a problem, can resend a file later, great for first time use or larger file 20k products for updating prices etc...

Currently i use Admin 1.8 and NopC 1.8....
NopAdmin, does have a free version 50 products testing and an ebook

Hello. nop admin I downloaded a trial version so I try the software before you buy. I cone to my database and I can not add and edit images like never? i have nop 2.0 when I go to see in more producers and add I click on save me an error message.
Nopcommerce 2.0 has changed all of the table names in the database, so any program built for 1.9 or below will not work with version 2.0. I am working on updating Nopeasy to work with 2.0, but it won't be ready for a few weeks. I'm sure that NopAdmin will be coming out with a version for 2.0 in the future, but these things take time.
bfranklin is right (thanks for your answer by the way!).....you can only use NopAdmin 2.00 to conenct to a nopCommerce 2.0 database - it will not work on a nopC 1.90 database.
However, that is not your problem specifically - you are using NopAdmin 2.00 to connect to a nopC 2.00 database. In the update manufacturer screen in NopAdmin you will need to make sure you enter all the fields...you can use the 'add row' in the datagrid for the default values. If you are having trouble dragging and dropping images you will need to make sure you have User Account Control (UAC) off. You can find instructions for turning UAC off at http://www.nopadmin.com/boards/t/6/cant-drag-and-drop-images.aspx Hope this helps, please feel free to skype me at nopadmin if you would like to chat directly.
I'm trying the "NoPAdmin Import for NopCommerce 1.90."
All fields import and are working except for the Image. Instead of my product image being displayed, it uses the default "noDefaultImage.gif - "No Image Available" image.
I tried a number of files paths and images when testing.
The spreadsheet does look right, yes. However I have a couple of questions:
1. Are you storing your images in the database or in the file system? If in the file system you will need to FTP the images to the web root/images directory. YOu can find the images on your local file system in the nopadmin installation directory/websiteImages folder.
2. I have seen some cases where the folder that you specify in the image path column is protected and the image will not upload properlY. I noticed that you are uploading from the program files folder and I believe that that folder is a protected one. You would be better served by moving the test image to a non protected folder and trying the upload again.
Give these a shot - if you still have problems please let me know and we'll schedule a remote desktop session so I can see your environment firsthand. Many times the problem can be solved in just a few minutes once I see your configuration.
1. Are you storing your images in the database or in the file system?
Right now I'm testing on my local machine and using file system.
>> You can find the images on your local file system in the nopadmin installation directory/websiteImages folder.
There is nothing in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\NopAdmin\WebSiteImages" folder.
After you add an image, I know it creates a file in the Images folder like "0000308_0.jpg". After I did the Import, I checked the database for the last pictureID (308) and searched "0000308_0.jpg" on both the C and M drives. Wasn't found.
2. I have seen some cases where the folder that you specify in the image path column is protected . . .
I have also tried putting images in 'M:\NOP drive but get the same problem.
I was using the "sa" sql server account to the database and changed it to my Win 7 account but still get the same problem.
I'm using Win 7 64 bit if that has anything to do with it. Also the file is being saved as "Excel 97 - 2003".
