When you type www.mydomain.com in your browser and press ENTER button, you still see www.mydomain.com in your browser address bar (the same as you originally typed). And when you type www.mydomain.com.au in your browser and press ENTER button, you still see www.mydomain.com.au in your browser address bar (not www.mydomain.com). If yes, then you're using CNAME records. In this case you need two keys.

If type www.mydomain.com.au in your browser and press ENTER button, and then you see www.mydomain.com in your browser address bar (not the same URL as you typed), it means that you're redirected using 301 or 302 status code. In this case you need only one key.

Thanks Andrei,

I will be purchasing two keys today. I just wanted to make sure for future clients.

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi,

We are currently hosting a nopcommerce site that we are working on as "www.mysite.com/nopcommerce" but eventually (say 3-6 months after it has gone live) we will move it over to "www.mysite.com" (maybe with just a redirect to the virtual directory - or by republishing everything to the root of the website). Simple, just one store. We will not be using both at the same time with the copyright notice removed.

Will 1 license for "www.mysite.com" be sufficient for the removal of the copyright notice?

Thank you,
Laviniu

Hi Laviniu,

These are two distinct URLs (even if one of them in a virtual directory of another one). So you need two keys.

But I presume you're going to use "www.mysite.com/nopcommerce" for demo or test purposes. So if its URL clearly says that it's for testing purposes (contains "nopCommerce", "demo" or "test"), then it's fine to don't purchase the key. It's illegal in terms of our license, but no worries about it. So one URL for  "www.mysite.com" in your particular case.

Hi,

Does the removal license is valid for another (new) version of nopCommerce, for the same domain?

Hi AM,

i had purchased "Furniture responsive theme",
in that case, if i like to remove the "powered by nopcommerce" statement, do i still need to purchase the "Copyright notice removal license"?

Hi a.m,

Thanks for nopCommerce the best opensource shopping cart.
We have just launched our store with some customization done by our in house developer.

My Question:

We are going to buy Copyright Removal License in nearer days so after that we will remove "Powered By NopCommerce".
But Can we add "Powered by XXXXX" or "Developed by XXXXX" after purchasing copyright removal keys?
