SUGGESTION:

First, if this is already possible, please point me in the direction of how to accomplish it.  If not, then I would like it to be a suggestion.

I am running multiple sites and am listing several of the same items on each site.  I have sites targeted to different markets and locals.  I would like to be able to use the same items in the admin section on each site but have different descriptions, prices, details... show up.

Right now I have to create a new item that is the exact same thing as one already in the system.  The only problem is with inventory control.  I have to monitor each version of the products inventory so that I do not sell something on one site that is out of stock from the other site.  Could you add a feature that would allow us to have multiple items pull from the same inventory?

That way I can have different product details for each site but not have to monitor and adjust or regulate the inventory.

Thanks. Thomas

Anyone know how this can be done?

For product names, descriptions, etc. you can use a similar language hack to what I suggested you here. You can have different tier prices per store. You can have just one tier 0-10000

I can't figure out if Rental products will be included in 3.40 or not. It's mentioned in the road map and the work item is active, but it doesn't seem to be assigned to 3.40 (although I think it used to be). Can someone clarify, please?

Thanks

UPDATE: nopCommerce 3.40 will be released in the second part of July. The certain date will be announced a bit later. But most probably it'll be from July 17th till July 20th

It would be great if community could help with BETA testing of the upcoming version 3.40. Please also find our temporary demo site with 3.40 installed here (public store only)

Andrei you say 3.4 will be focusing largely on performance and optimisation, is there anywhere I can find out a bit more info on what you mean here exactly (i.e. what issues is is referring to)?

This suggests there are serious issues with 3.3 for example (which we are currently building on), so I want to assess whether or not it will be worth us upgrading to 3.4.

For example if its all about memory optimisation we wouldn't bother because its on a dedicated machine with 8GB so its not necessary. If however its client side optimisation (NOP has a pretty big footprint) we would probably.

Thanks

Hi John

I think you'll find if it's not to late you would be better off to go with 3.40, the performance is much better and faster, I have set up a demo site if you want to take a look http://nop34themes.co.uk/ here.

I know you said it's on a dedicated server so it's not an issue but 3.40 is currently using  around 220mb once up and running
which is a huge difference to 3.30 where it can go to over 600mb, also from a SEO perspective the page load times are much quicker.
